The SIEMENS Human Machine Interface, HMI for short, is the basic building block for smart control and monitoring of industrial plants. HMI products are therefore ideally suited for use in complex manufacturing processes. HMI is particularly impressive with the option of visualizing measurement and production data. However, an interface is only as good as its design. Unfortunately, the standard interfaces are not particularly intuitive, which is why they are usually rejected by inexperienced users.
This is where we come in. Thanks to the open standard of SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal), it is possible for us to realize customized user interfaces that are tailored to your specific usage requirements. By interviewing the relevant stakeholders, we determine the demands that are placed on the user interface. In consultation with your backend developers, we can then implement the exchange of control and monitoring data between the responsive web UI and your SIEMENS control system.
By designing and implementing the web UI for this prototype as shown, we were able to gain valuable experience in this field.
